An Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) is a nationally recognised allied health professional whose role is to use ‘exercise as medicine’ to provide safe and effective exercise interventions for a broad range of pathological conditions. The goal of an AEP is to assist in the facilitation of lifestyle modification to prevent acute and/or manage subacute and chronic conditions, through restoration of optimal physical function, health and wellbeing. AEP’s are qualified in providing evidence based prescription of highly individualised exercise programs, conduct clinical exercise testing, assess movement capacity and provide health education and support.
Brodie is able to assist participants further with referrals and recommendations to other specialists relevant to the participant’s situation. He is also able to provide letters of recommendation for equipment and assistive technology to enable participants to achieve their goals.
